Michelle & Tony in New York City, NY

Michelle & Tony in New York City, NY
Photos By: Jen Huang Photography, New York City
Event Planning: Mayra Castillo, Always a Bridesmaid, New York City
Location: Tse Yang Restaurant, New York City
Michelle carried a bouquet of red orchids and daisies.
In keeping with the color scheme, the red invitations featured gold calligraphy in both languages.
Michelle and Tony had a time-honored Chinese tea ceremony the morning of the banquet for relatives.
So as not to compete with the restaurant’s ornate interior, the couple kept the decor to a minimum with low flower arrangements.
The low arrangements of red flowers added just a touch of decor without being too overbearing with the already lavish reception space.
Mocha buttercream covered the three tiers of chocolate cake, topped with koala wedding toppers that Tony’s brother had brought in from Sydney, Australia.
Michelle and Tony met as coworkers at the London office of an English law firm called Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

An opulent red-and-gold traditional Chinese wedding banquet followed the couple’s quaint City Hall ceremony.
